A Chartered Banker and Fellow of the Chartered Banker Institute, Stuart started his career with Clydesdale Bank in 1980. After seven years there, Stuart moved to the UK's newest private bank, Adam & Company, where he remained until 2011, ultimately acting as Operations Director. After a brief spell as Head of Dealing for Bank of New York Mellon, Stuart left to join some former colleagues in helping to establish Hampden & Co, which was, at the time, the UK’s newest private bank, where he is currently the Chief Operating Officer. Stuart is a former Council Member of the Chartered Banker Institute. Along the way, Stuart studied for a degree in Business Law as a mature part-time student.
Outside of work, he loves to travel and is looking forward to travelling more when he retires.
