Personal Assistant
Are you a reliable and caring person? If so, I would love to hear from you.
“Please note Capability Scotland isn’t the employer we are only acting on behalf of our client. The client will be the employer.”
I am a retired Professional lady living in beautiful Castle Douglas. I am looking for someone to join a small team of personal assistants to support me. I use a wheelchair and require support in personal care, meal preparation, and getting up from bed and into bed. A hoist is required to assist me into bed and a steady to get out of bed, Training can be arranged if needed. It will be a variable contract to help cover holidays and sickness but there is potential for guaranteed hours in the future.
I am very close to my family, and am very lucky to have my daughter, and her family stay with me. I enjoy many things such as knitting and embroidery. I am currently writing a journal of my life and the memories I have made over the years. I like doing crosswords and sudoku in the mornings to start the day.
You will receive a monthly rota and pay is weekly. The rate of pay is £15 an hour if self-employed and an invoice would need to be provided to myself weekly. I am also happy to accept anyone that isn’t self-employed. In this case pay will be net after deduction of any tax and NI due. A PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) is required for this role.
The important qualities I would look for are:
- Reliable
- Good time keeping
- Understanding of confidentiality
- Willing to learn any new procedures and undergo training if required.
- Willing to obtain a PVG
If this sounds good to you. I would like to hear from you. Please you reference SCAW1214 when applying,
