Personal Assistant

 I am a 63 year old gentleman, who lives in Stranraer with my family. I have a history of strokes, and my health has declined since my first stroke 12 years ago. Currently,my son is my main carer in the mornings and it would be extremely beneficial for my family to have a Personal Assistant to give them much-needed respite. I spend most of my week at home unless I have any appointments, I previously attended Capability Scotland and the local day centre. There may be scope to support me to consider community activities again to reduce isolation and hopefully increase motivation.  

Duties –  

-      Support with personal care i.e to get out of bed in the morning, get dressed and some breakfast if required 

-       Support any activities I am interested in 

-       Accompaniment to appointments if required 

 Person Spec 

•          Reliable
•          Experience in Care preferred (first aid trained) 
•          Strong Character
•          Great sense of humour
•          Ability to use own initiative
•          Flexible
•          Person-centred approach
•          Must have a clean driving license

 Hours of work 

-       3.75 hours per week can be flexible with times/days upon discussion 

 Terms of the role 

-       £12.60 per hour 

-       Paid annual leave 

-       PVG required
