Evelyn is a 67-year-old woman who lives in Dumfries and has a diagnosis of Parkinson’s, Multiple System Atrophy, Arthritis and EUPD. Due to those serious and debilitating conditions, Evelyn is increasingly struggling to manage personal care tasks. With the progressive nature of Parkinson’s and MSA, it is vital to get some PC support before things decline further. Evelyn enjoys being at home with her pets (5 cats and 1 dog) and doesn’t often leave the house unless necessary or to see family.
Duties
- Support with PC tasks such as getting out of bed, dressed, showered and meal preparation.
- Any support for client that falls under personal care
Quality and Skills
Drivers License preferred
- Reliable
- Experience in Adult Care
- Strong Character and sensitive to client’s needs and conditions
- Great sense of humour
- Ability to use own initiative
- Flexible
- Person-centred approach
- Must have a clean driving license
Hours of work
- 5.25 hours per week can be flexible with times/days upon discussion
Terms of the role
- £12.60 per hour
- Paid annual leave (5.6 weeks pro rata)
- PVG required
