Please note that Capability Scotland are not the employer, but acting on behalf of our client, who is the legal employer.
Hello, my name is Doreen. I am 96 years old and live with my family in a small village near Lockerbie. As we are not on a bus route, a driving licence is essential.
I am seeking a reliable and trustworthy Personal Assistant to support me with daily living tasks, including personal care (washing, dressing and occasional showers), meal preparation and medication reminders. I can be a little forgetful at times, so gentle support is appreciated.
I enjoy good conversation, especially sharing stories from my time as a nurse and discussing the books I read - particularly those about wartime and humorous tales. A good sense of humour and being a good listener are important qualities.
Support is typically needed 2 -3 times per day, depending on my family's availability. Morning visits around 9.15 am and evening visits from 7.00 pm onwards are preferred, but this can be discussed further during the interview.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and respond flexibly to my needs.
If this sounds like you then please get in touch as I would love to hear from you.
