Personal Assisstant

I am Alexander and I am 22 years old. I live in Dumfries with my parents. I am looking for a PA to work about 20 hours per week to join my care team. These hours would mainly be for socializing and getting me out of house. I am willing to be flexible with hours, but I am looking for someone able to work Saturdays and weekdays. 

I am currently at university doing a degree in cyber security. I have an interest in video games and everything to do with computers. I would be looking for a PA who could get involved in my interests by taking me to rugby games, Queen of the South games and take me on walks to places like Mabie. I have an accessible van so would need someone who has a manual driving license and is confident to drive a van. Due to insurance on the Motability van the person needs to have a clean driving licence to drive it. 

I am a full time wheelchair user and use a hoist at home for transfers so the person will need to do moving and handling training (this will be provided if necessary). The role also involves personal care, some meal preparation and helping with eating. 

I am looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy and patient. I have speech difficulties so need someone that is willing to take the time to understand me. I need someone who has a good sense of humour like me and is willing to get involved with the activities I like.

The rate of pay is £12.60 per hour with paid annual leave of 5.6 weeks pro rata. This post is subject to a satisfactory PVG check.
