Personal Assistant - Kirkcudbright

About Me 

Hello! I am a 96-year-old lady living in Kirkcudbright. I used to be a librarian at Stirling University I enjoyed reading books, but my eyesight has declined unfortunately. I enjoy listening to music and watching television, and I like having friendly company. I am looking for a kind and dependable Personal Assistant to support me to remain living independently in my own home. 

Job Role  

• Personal care, including assistance with showers 

• Preparing meals  

• Supporting my wellbeing and helping me feel safe and comfortable at home 

• Prompting and administering medication 

• Light household tasks 

• I am looking for someone who can become a trusted and reliable part of my support team. 

About You 

• Caring, compassionate and respectful 

• Friendly, patient and easy to talk to 

• Reliable and trustworthy 

• Experienced in care is desirable, although life experience and the right values are just as important 

Hours and Pay 

• £20.00 per hour (Self-Employed) 

• 5 hours per month 

• Holiday cover  

• There may be opportunities for additional hours as my support needs change 

• Mainly weekends to start 

Shifts are: 

• 8:00am – 9:30am 

• 12:00pm – 1:00pm 

• 4:00pm – 5:00pm 

• 8:00pm – 9:00pm
