We are looking for a Personal Assistant to help support a young gentleman, who is based near Eaglesfield. This young man has Aspergers - Highly Functional Autism (ASD), and his autism affects him socially. He is looking for support to attend art classes, appointments and to offer companionship. Ideally he would prefer a male personal assistant but will accept a female personal assistant. You will be given 10 hours per week to begin with. This may increase over time depending on his needs. Due to the location you need to have your own transport. For his appointments you will be using your car or the client’s car. You will be reimbursed for your petrol.   

Working with this young Gentleman:

  • £13.00 per hour (£14.00 with experience)
  • 10 hours per week building to 20 hours
  • Experience with ASD an advantage
  • Male preferred 
  • Friendly and reliable
  • Empathy and understanding of the client’s needs
  • Good Communication skills
  • Own transport due to rural location
  • Willing to use own transport to and from appointments etc
  • Flexible
  • PVG Required.
  • Probationary period.
