Tayview is a residential setting providing accommodation and 24-hour support to adults with physical disabilities and who may also have learning difficulties.

Where are we?

Set on the banks of the River Tay, and as part of the Upper Springland campus in Perth, Tayview offers an exciting range of opportunities in educational, recreational and therapeutic activities whilst enabling people to live as independently as possible. We can provide supported accommodation for anyone over the age of 16 in Scotland, ensuring you get the care and assistance you need in order to live your life the way you want to.

Tayview features 23 en-suite, fully accessible, ground-floor studio-style apartments. Residents here live on a permanent or long-term basis; however, we have also supported individuals to learn the skills required in order to transition into independent living in the wider community.

DonaldCreating Independence

At Tayview, whilst you might live in supported accommodation, our goals are to help you be as independent as possible. We can help you with communication, personal care, medical needs, emotional support, appointment support and achieving goals. We also assist with shopping, paying bills, cooking meals and assistance to go on holiday. The staff support facilitating activities each day and can adapt these to suit your interests. Staff will advocate on your behalf where required. We have a number of accessible vehicles and provide free transport within Perth City Centre as well as attending any medical appointments. We can support you in practising your faith and attending church should you wish.

We will help you arrange regular reviews with people important to you so you can plan for your future and any goals you wish us to help you achieve. We can provide, at an additional charge, one-to-one support should you require more input from staff. As Tayview provides 24-hour on-site care, we are here when you need us.

Our facilities in Tayview include an accessible bathroom, communal lounge and dining areas and an accessible kitchen where you may wish for support to prepare your own meals. On Upper Springland’s campus, there is a fully accessible fitness gym, a day opportunities service which offers meaningful and rewarding activities and a social hub with a café and a bar so that you can get involved and spend time with your friends and your visitors.

We are proud to offer support from our in-house therapies team, which includes a speech and language therapist and an occupational therapist. We have staff trained in rebound therapy, hydrotherapy, and more.

We work with a catering company that provides dietitian-planned menus which can be adapted to your mealtime preference and any modified textures you may need. Staff are trained in mealtime assistance should you need any additional support whilst dining.

As a resident of Tayview, you can access The Studio, our day opportunities service, which provides a lot of fun, rewarding, and meaningful activities during the day. Music, gardening, arts and crafts, baking, and movie nights are all available to you. On the provision of additional one-to-one funding you will be able to access our Day Opportunities service should you choose to do so.

We have close links with a variety of organisations in Perth and with our close proximity to a range of community facilities we encourage and support you to get involved in activities which may be of interest to you.  We have provided support for individuals in further education at college and with work opportunities. Our excellent staff team will help you every step of the way.
