Our Staff Excellence Awards are open all year round!
We are celebrating the best of Capability Scotland staff through eight awards:
- Outstanding Act of Kindness Award
- Living Our Values Everyday (LOVE) Award
- Outstanding Customer Service Award
- Little Acorn Award for Creativity & New Ideas
- Outstanding Leadership Award
- Team of the Year Award
- Excellence in Inclusive Communications Award
- The Chief Executive’s Award
Who’s eligible?
All Capability Scotland colleagues and volunteers employed at the date of the award presentation are eligible for awards. This year's awards presentation will be at the Staff Conference on 11th November 2026.
Who can nominate someone?
The short answer is anyone! Nominations can be submitted by our staff, the people we support, families, Capability Scotland supporters and partners, and members of the public.

Nominations close at 5pm Friday 18th September 2026.
A committee made up of colleagues from across the charity will evaluate the nominations and select a winner in each category. Each award is assessed against a specific set of questions. The committee will make decisions based on their knowledge of the organisation and the expectations in terms of the culture we want Capability Scotland colleagues and volunteers to be part of. The Chief Executive award will be decided by Brian Logan, our Chief Executive.
